After more than a decade with an office Downtown at 100 North Main St., the law firm of Richter & Rasberry PC has shifted east.

After more than a decade with an office Downtown, the law firm of Richter & Rasberry PC has relocated to Clark Tower.

Johnny Rasberry, one of the partners in the two-man firm that primarily handles divorce and family law work, said the relocation to the Clark Tower at 5100 Poplar Ave. was a response to client needs.

“We just tried to split the difference for everybody,” said Rasberry, describing the choice of Clark Tower. “We’re primarily a family law firm. My partner still does some personal injury, but we’re primarily family law. And we’re happy in our new spot now.”

Said his partner Linley Richter, “Our new office is centrally located and more convenient for our clients, especially when it comes to parking.”

The law firm, which has a blog at richterrasberrypc.wordpress.com, focuses on work that includes but is not limited to divorce, separation, adoption, relocation, equitable distribution, child custody and child support.

Richter has two decades of experience in practicing family law. He has a background in criminal, personal injury and workers compensation law, in addition to handling cases before all major courts in the state, including courts like the Tennessee State Supreme Court to the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

He’s a graduate of the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Middle Tennessee State University.

Rasberry is a graduate of Quinnipiac University School of Law in Connecticut. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Memphis before attending law school.

Although his regular practice concentration is in West Tennessee, he’s traveled across the state to represent clients.
