Hugueley Named Chief Nursing Officer For Methodist Extended Care Hospital

Sandra Hugueley has been named chief nursing officer for Methodist Extended Care Hospital (MECH). Hugueley joined Methodist in 1996 as a registered nurse and became nurse manager of Medical-Surgical ICU at Methodist North Hospital in 1997. She recently served as corporate director of Interim Administrative Services.

Jennifer Wilson-Harvey of Wilson & Associates PLLC has been appointed to the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Arkansas Bar Association.

Mark Griffee has joined Black McLaren Jones Ryland & Griffee PC as a shareholder. Griffee has practiced in state and federal civil litigation in Tennessee, including commercial, insurance-related and general litigation. He also is on the panel of mediators for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.

Jean Todd, contracting officer for both the Memphis District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Corps' Louisiana Recovery Field Office in New Orleans, has been selected as the recipient of the General Services Administration's 2007 Ida Ustad Award for Excellence in Acquisition.

Kim Javins has been named marketing and business development officer at FAA Federal Credit Union. Javins has been in the financial industry for seven years as a teller, collection officer and insurance specialist.

Memphis Starbucks Corp. employees Mindy Lane and Robert Park received the Outstanding Employer Award from The Arc of Tennessee, a nonprofit organization focusing on intellectual and developmental disabilities, at the Tennessee Disability MegaConference awards banquet and dance. Lane and Park received the award for their support and training of Merry Jensen, another Starbucks employee.

The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art has hired Diane Jalfon as its director of development. Jalfon has worked at the museum for more than three years as public relations and public events manager. She currently serves on the board of Temple Israel Museum and is a member of the Leadership Memphis 2008 Executive Program class.

Dr. Martha M. Howe, a Van Vleet Professor of Virology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), has been given the Alice C. Evans Award for her contributions to the advancement and participation of women in microbiology. Howe served as president of the American Society for Microbiology in 2000 and helped establish a committee on the status of women at UTHSC.

James R. Mulroy II has joined Kiesewetter Wise Kaplan Prather PLC, a Memphis-based labor and employment law firm. Mulroy received his law degree from the University of Tennessee in 1975 and served as a trial attorney with the U.S. Navy JAG Corps before entering private practice. He is a fellow at the College of Labor and Employment lawyers and has been selected as a "Mid-South Super Lawyer."

Sonya Pollard has joined SunTrust Mortgage Inc. as a residential mortgage loan officer. Pollard has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry. She previously was employed at Countrywide Home Loans. She specializes in all types of residential mortgage lending.

Aaron Suriff, a managing principal with Waddell & Reed Inc., is a recipient of the firm's 2007 Seven C's Award, a top honor for its managing principals. The Seven C's Award is presented annually to the firm's top two managing principals, of which the company employs about 106. The Seven C's stands for excellence in clients, character, commitment, convergence, creation, competitiveness and camaraderie.

Dylan Martin has joined Signature Marketing Solutions as a junior art director. Martin received a graphic arts degree with a concentration in print production in 2006 from Southwest Tennessee Community College. Previously, he worked for Think Signs.

Harris Shelton Hanover Walsh PLLC has hired Tricia Tweel as an associate. Tweel obtained her juris doctorate from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2005. She will practice estate planning and probate law.

Mary McDaniel has been appointed by the Shelby County Health Care Corp. to the board for the Regional Medical Center at Memphis. McDaniel is the vice president of Material and Corporate Sourcing for the air operations group of FedEx Express. She serves on the boards of Southwest Tennessee Community College, the Mid-South Minority Business Council and the United Way of the Mid-South among other organizations.

Dr. Roderick Richmond, principal of Ridgeway Middle School, was honored as the 2007 recipient of Memphis City Schools' Sara L. Lewis Principal of the Year Award.
