Omega Health Systems Announces Steven J. Martin has been named financial controller for Promus Hotel Corp. He most recently was a partner in the audit and business advisory group of Arthur Anderson. Martin is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Robert E. Gregory Jr. has been elected to the board of directors for Promus Hotel Corp. He currently serves as chairman and chief executive officer of New York-based London Fog Corp. John E. Quinn has been appointed vice president and general manager, high tech, for FDX Global Logistics. Quinn formerly was vice president, China and Mid-Pacific region, for FedEx. He has a bachelors degree from Georgia Tech and a masters degree from the University of Memphis. Florian Kete has been appointed vice president, human resources, for FDXs Caliber Logistics unit. He formerly was director, human resources, corporate sales, marketing and account services, for Invacare Corp. Kete has a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State and a masters degree from Case Western Reserve. John B. Mitchum has been named general manager of John Roebuck and Associates. He formerly was chairman and chief executive officer of JBM Enterprises Inc. and managing partner of Quapaw Restoration Associates in Little Rock. Mary Day has been named president of Message Factors Inc. Day joined the company in 1998 as executive vice president. She received her bachelors and masters degrees from Vanderbilt University. Sandy L. Boles has been named national director for Omega Health Systems Inc.s enhanced refractive surgery program. Boles formerly served as coordinator of special projects for PrimeVision Health Inc. Nancy Averwater has been named executive director of healthcare services and Trinity hospice for Baptist Trinity Home Care. She previously was director of healthcare services. Averwater is a graduate of Harding University. Lisa Ayers has joined Powertel PCS as an account executive. She formerly was assistant district sales manager at MCI WorldCom. Mary Wheeler, owner of Wheeler Business Services, has been elected president of the Memphis chapter of Executive Women International. Other officers include vice president Anna Hough, owner of Captivating Interiors; secretary Peggy Quinn, director of fashion merchandising for the University of Memphis; and treasurer Hazel Butler, human resource administrator for the Alpha Corp.s GIL Technologies Division.
