The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence has sent out a request for proposals to select up to seven nonprofit organizations for participation in the Program for Nonprofit Excellence (PNE).

PNE is a three-year capacity-building program designed to empower nonprofit organizations to address specific challenges, embrace their core mission and ultimately streamline operations for greater effectiveness and community impact.

71. Nonprofit Workshop to Give Execs Disaster-Planning Advice -

A few weeks ago, two local nonprofit organizations found themselves facing a crisis as they suddenly were forced to look for new homes.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and COMEC (the Commission on Missing and Exploited Children) were given notice earlier this month that they would have to vacate their free office space in the Juvenile Court of Memphis and Shelby County by Oct. 1.
