2. Park Ave. Retail Center Owner Files $1.2 Million Loan -

The owner of the 10,998-square-foot retail strip center at 3477 Park Ave. near the University of Memphis has filed a $1.2 million loan on the property.

3. ServiceMaster, Other Cos. Support Habitat Mission -

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Memphis has a busy couple of weeks ahead as it closes its books on the fall building season.

Tuesday, Oct. 25, marked the dedication of The ServiceMaster Co. home at 3477 E. Oak Side Drive in Trinity Park, the first all-green neighborhood being developed by Memphis Habitat. The will be the Memphis-based home and commercial services company’s fifth sponsorship home with the nonprofit.

Lipscomb Pitts Breakfast Club will hold a technology lunch and learn with State Systems Inc. Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Old Venice Pizza Co., 368 Perkins Road Extended. The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence will hold a workshop Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at its office, 5100 Poplar Ave., suite 502. Participants will review the essential best practices of fundraising and critical issues that must be addressed to be successful. DeWitt Spain Airport Inundated With Water

General DeWitt Spain Airport was inundated with flood waters early Thursday morning. Reports said around midnight, part of a berm washed out as well as part of North Second Street, which had already been closed because of rising water. A broken water main contributed to the high water.

St. George’s Independent School will host the second session in its early-learning speakers series titled “The Amazing Adventure: Making the Most of the Parenting Experience” Monday at 6:30 p.m. at St. George’s Germantown campus, 8250 Poplar Ave. The session will feature St. George’s Director of Early Childhood Dr. Stewart Burgess and Dr. William Fesmire, board-certified pediatrician. The Orpheum Theatre will unveil the 2011-2012 Broadway Series Monday at 2 p.m. at the theater, 203 S. Main St. The announcement will include a special sneak peek video presentation of the new season and an exclusive performance by two cast members of “Memphis the Musical.” A Q&A session will follow. 9. Evolve Systems Grows Memphis Location -

Evolve Digital Media has more than doubled its Memphis location at Apple Tree Center in Hickory Hill.

The Memphis-based company expanded its lease from 2,520 to 6,327 square feet at 6073 Mount Moriah Road Extended. Tyler Tapley, associate with CB Richard Ellis Memphis, represented the landlord, Apple Tree Center Partnership.
