Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association is offering several ways to give back to the community this holiday season.

In conjunction with a special Christmas Day meals delivery, volunteers will deliver gift bags to 1,000 homebound senior meals clients. Those who would like to donate gifts should deliver them by Dec. 10 to MIFA, 910 Vance Ave.

The campaign of Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards learned about crime as well as poverty in Memphis Monday during a stop of Edwards' "Road To One America Tour." The tour is supposed to call attention to Americans living in poverty.

Forty 15-year-olds will be taking a step next week that will ensure they're kept busy and out of trouble this summer. It also will put them on the path to obtaining college educations - and what they and the people closest to them hope will be successful adult careers.
