1. Lakecrest II Sells for $4.6 Million -

The Lakecrest II office building in East Memphis has changed hands again.

Southland Primacy LLC acquired the 129,104-square-foot office building at 6055 Primacy Parkway from Jefferson-Pilot Investments Inc. Feb. 28 for $4.6 million.

2. Sector Capital Management Independent Again -

Three years after its acquisition by Argent Financial Group, Memphis-based Sector Capital Management is an independent company again.

Sector CEO Reed Walters led the negotiations to buy back the wealth management firm in the wake of Louisiana-based Argent going on something of an acquisition spree in recent years. Sector also has relocated from Argent’s office at The Crescent Center to the Atrium I building at 6800 Poplar Ave.

3. Office Team Helps Colliers Expand Local Footprint -

As a part of the Colliers International office in Memphis’ growth strategy, the brokerage office has been expanding its presence in the office sector over the past year by adding a new office team consisting of Frazier Baker and Will Barden.

The Federalist Society Memphis Lawyers’ Chapter and University of Memphis Law Students’ Chapter will present a free Constitution Day program Monday, Sept. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the University of Memphis Cecil C. 6. National Capital Management Expands -

National Capital Management LLC has expanded by 3,900 square feet on the third floor at Southwind Office Center A, bringing the company’s total lease to 12,253 square feet.

The River City Writers Series at the University of Memphis will welcome author Randall Kenan for two events Monday, Nov. 7, and Tuesday, Nov. 8. The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence will hold a workshop Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at its office, 5100 Poplar Ave., Suite 502. 10. Kent H. Landsberg Co. Doubles Space -

Kent H. Landsberg Co. has finally inked a deal that had been in the works for quite some time.

Landsberg, a packaging, janitorial and food service shipping supply company, stayed in Memphis and expanded when it purchased Wurzburg Inc., a Memphis-based provider of supply-chain logistics and packaging.

11. Planned Parenthood, Others Seek New Locations -

Planned Parenthood Greater Memphis Region Inc. plans to move to another location in Midtown because its lease won’t be renewed, while the owner of two long-term care hospitals looks to build new facilities because of an eminent domain lawsuit.
