Victorian Village Inc. will host A Day of Fun in Victorian Village Oct. 22.

The daylong event will kick off with a 9 a.m. road run on a course that begins at Juvenile Court, 616 Adams Ave.

4. Victorian Village Restaurant Seeks CCDC’s Aid -

Memphis restaurateur Karen Blockman Carrier has applied for a $50,000 retail forgivable loan from the Center City Development Corp. in an effort to revive Mollie Fontaine Lounge, the restaurant she runs out of an historic Victorian Village home.

The Memphis Bar Foundation will hold its annual Benjamin L. Hooks luncheon today from noon to 1:30 p.m. at The Peabody hotel, 149 Union Ave. Craig Cooley of the Innocence Project will speak and new fellows of the foundation will be recognized. 6. Victorian Village to Hold All Saints’ Day Event -

A unique celebration of All Saints’ Day will be held in and around Victorian Village Nov. 1, with events including everything from a traditional Irish wake to gospel music for the public to enjoy.

Advance tickets are $50. The evening will begin at 7:30 with choral music at St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral. A bagpipe procession then will make its way to the Woodruff-Fontaine House, where – among other things – guides will tell stories from the yellow fever period of Memphis history and will tell ghost stories.
