5. Dollar General Building Store On Jackson In N. Memphis -

Plans for a new Dollar General store in the city’s North submarket are under way. Ware Properties LLC purchased 9,100 square feet of vacant land at 3433 Jackson Ave. from Hector Tejeda in May for $140,000, according to the Shelby County Register of Deeds. The Shelby County Assessor of Property’s 2011 appraisal of the parcel was $109,200.

6. National Black MBA Assn. Hosts Debt Workshop -

The Memphis Chapter of the National Black MBA Association will host a special workshop on the topic of debt Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at International Paper, 6410 Poplar Ave.

7. HF Law Group Moves East for Clients -

The HF Law Group PLLC became the most recent business to announce its move from the central business district Downtown to the eastern part of Shelby County, when it announced last week its relocation to 3257 Sarazen’s Circle.
