Mark Taylor, director of the Renaissance Business Center in Memphis, said startup ventures have been hurt by the tight credit market because they’ve had a tough time securing loans and have had to put up more collateral to obtain them. He said the center expects to learn more about the specifics of the plan and will help small businesses seeking loans.
