Former University of Memphis basketball coach John Calipari’s home at 220 E. Galloway Drive sold Aug. 6 for $1.425 million, according to the Shelby County Register of Deeds.

That sales price is $275,000 – or 16 percent – less than the home’s listing price of $1.7 million with Hobson Realtors. It also is $70,000 less than what Calipari and his wife, Sue Ellen, paid for the home in 2000.
