The Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown will soon gain another national retailer with no other presence in Tennessee.
Madewell, a subsidiary of J. Crew Group Inc., has signed a 3,061-square-foot lease in The Shops of Saddle Creek North, 7509 Poplar Ave., in part of the space that was previously The Gap in between James Avery Jewelry and Brighton Collectables.

The American Café in Germantown’s The Shops of Saddle Creek shopping center has closed its doors.
A spokeswoman for the Maryville, Tenn.-based chain confirmed Monday, April 30, that the lease had expired for the casual sit-down and take-out eatery at 2055 West St., suite 20.

The Peabody hotel will host a Thanksgiving Day brunch Thursday, Nov. 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the mezzanine at the hotel, 149 Union Ave. Cost is $55 for adults and $20 for children.
