Medical device maker Wright Medical Group Inc. plans to buy BioMimetic Therapeutics Inc. in a $190 million cash-and-stock deal to help grow its foot and ankle business.

Voters in Memphis City Council District 7 on Thursday, Nov. 10, will settle the last election of 2011 as they select the only new member of the 13-member council.

3. Skateboard Competition Part of Greenlaw’s Mission -

Skateboarders from near and far are dropping in to compete in a skate contest that is more about congregation than competition.

JSAW, a nonprofit skateboarding ministry with roots in Chanhassen, Minn., is visiting Greenlaw Community Center at 190 Mill Ave. near Uptown to host a skateboarding competition.
