A Nashville-based bar and restaurant chain is preparing to renovate the former Hard Rock Café location on Beale Street.

Tin Roof has applied for a $1.5 million building permit through the city-county Office of Construction Code Enforcement to begin a makeover of the 11,500-square-foot building Hard Rock occupied at 315 Beale St. Founded in 2002, Tin Roof now has 13 locations, and the Beale Street one is the company’s first in Memphis.

4. Tin Roof Lease Makes Full House on Beale -

The three-block Beale Street Entertainment District is fully leased with the addition of three leases this spring on the block between Hernando and Fourth streets.

The most recent lease, announced Thursday, June 19, was a long-term lease for Tin Roof bar and restaurant at 315 Beale St., the space the Hard Rock Cafe will leave in July to move west to the Lansky Building at 126 Beale, just outside the formal borders of the district.

The street where the blues was born is getting a tin roof – Tin Roof bar and restaurant that is.

The Nashville-based chain announced Thursday, June 19, that it will open next month in what is currently the location of the Hard Rock Café at 315 Beale St. at Hernando.

Hard Rock Cafe International (USA) has filed a $2.5 million permit with the city-county Office of Construction Code Enforcement for interior renovations at 126 Beale St.
