1. Henry Named Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Collierville -

Edgar L. Henry II has been named sales manager for Mercedes-Benz of Collierville, scheduled to open next spring. In his new role, Henry will manage the sales of all new and pre-owned cars sold at the dealership.

2. Wright Joins Magna Bank as Senior Vice President -

Andy Wright has joined Memphis-based Magna Bank as senior vice president and manager of commercial banking. Wright, who previously held senior vice president positions at Iberiabank and First Tennessee Bank, has experience working with a variety of industries, with in-depth expertise in the transportation and logistics industries.

Memphis Area Association of Realtors and Shelby County Trustee David Lenoir will host the 2013 Residential Real Estate Summit Tuesday, April 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Germantown Performing Arts Centre, 1801 Exeter Road. In a ceremony next month at the University of Memphis-Holiday Inn, the Society of Entrepreneurs will induct five new members.

The April 13 event will see added to the society Duncan Williams, president of investment firm Duncan-Williams Inc.; Neely Mallory Jr., chairman of logistics business The Mallory Group; David Andrews, CEO and owner of City Enterprises LLC, the parent company of several auto-related businesses; William Courtney, CEO of Classic American Hardwoods; and Dick Leike, a co-founder of Crye-Leike Realtors.

Dr. Jess Evans has joined American Esoteric Laboratories as vice president of technical operations. In his new role, Evans is responsible for instrumentation, personnel, operational performance and quality assurance for the Memphis laboratory.

8. Luncheon To Honor’s City’s Cinematic Stars -

Film director Craig Brewer, “Undefeated” star Bill Courtney, and Memphis and Shelby County Film and Television Commissioner Linn Sitler are among those who’ll be honored Wednesday, May 9, as Carnival Memphis salutes the Mid-South’s movie and film industry during its annual Business & Industry Salute Luncheon.

9. Simpson Joins FirstBank As Local President -

Ted Simpson has been hired by FirstBank as its Memphis city president.

Simpson previously served as executive vice president and chief lending officer for Magna Bank and has experience with National Bank of Commerce and Central Park Capital. He also is currently on the board of Lambda Alpha, a real estate professional organization.

10. Reynolds Named Head Baseball Coach at STCC -

Alan "Bo" Reynolds has been named the new head baseball coach at Southwest Tennessee Community College. He previously worked at Olive Branch High School, where he was head baseball coach in 2005-2006 after serving as assistant coach from 2003 to 2005. He also coached at Rhodes College from 1990 to 2003, where he was both an assistant coach and head coach and the University of Memphis from 1987 to 1990. There, he was an assistant under head coach Bobby Kilpatrick.
