Ed Espitia has joined Michael Hatcher & Associates Inc. as chief financial officer. Espitia comes to the Memphis-based landscape services firm after serving since 2010 as finance manager for Schulz Xtruded Products, a Germany-based pipe maker with operations in North Mississippi.

5. Local Real Estate Veteran Has Ties to Trump -

Memphian Terri Murphy, a 28-year real estate veteran, author and speaker, is one of 100 authors included in Donald Trump's latest book "Trump: The Best Real Estate Advice I Ever Received." Murphy is a staff writer for Broker Agent News, Mortgage Originator Magazine, Realty Times and Memphis Woman Magazine. She also serves as chief information officer for U.S. Learning in Memphis.

The Small Business Chamber hosts a breakfast meeting/seminar Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Holiday Inn Select, 5795 Poplar Ave. Melanie R. Sabelhaus, former deputy administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, presents "Think Big and Bold" as the keynote speech.
