This weekend people will get a chance to enjoy a fall festival while helping a good cause.

The 5th Annual Fall Farm Festival at Maple Grove Farm in Collierville will take place Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Maple Grove Farm is donating all of the proceeds to the Paul A. McDaniel Foundation for organ donation and stroke awareness.

Two Memphis law firms announced a merger earlier this week.

The nine attorneys of 45-year old Williams McDaniel PC are merging with Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP to form one of the largest estate planning law groups among regional firms in the country.

It’s not uncommon for theater directors to couch old standards in new, quirky settings, but when quirks are a play’s hallmark, sometimes simplicity makes for a welcome change.

Such may be the case for Germantown Community Theatre’s 39th season opener, “Godspell,” the extremely versatile retelling of the Gospel of St. Matthew, written by John-Michael Tebeleak with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz.
