LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Members of the Arkansas congressional delegation are announcing a federal grant to help low-income Arkansans save on heating and cooling costs.
The U.S. Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program is providing $1.6 million to the Arkansas Department of Human Services for the program. DHS will distribute the money among 15 community action agencies to help low-income residents pay for energy-efficiency improvements in their homes.
