As the Tennessee Titans head down the backstretch of another unproductive season, it might be time to ponder a scary question: Will the Titans ever be good again?

How much longer will they be an NFL’s bottom feeder, swimming the same muddy waters as the Raiders, Browns, Lions and Jaguars?

2. Three Games In, How Much Better are Titans? -

At some point, the Tennessee Titans have to grow up.

After blowing an opportunity to take the early lead in the AFC South by letting it slip away against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday, the Titans now head into their bye week on a downturn with two consecutive losses.

3. Mariota’s Toughness an Edge as Colts Come Calling -

Two games in, it is still a bit too early to declare Marcus Mariota the franchise savior for the Tennessee Titans.

But one thing that stood out is that we may have learned as much or more about Mariota’s makeup in last Sunday’s loss to the Cleveland Browns than we did in his week one shellacking of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

4. Trezevant Hires Resident Services Head -

Kimberly O’Donnell has joined Trezevant as director of resident services. In her new position, she will be responsible for managing a variety of programs and functions while serving as liaison to the residential community.

KNOXVILLE – Bud Ford usually had no problem wearing the orange blazer in his early days as assistant sports information director at the University of Tennessee.

Not on this day, though. It was Nov. 15, 1969.

6. Festival Seeks Best Memphis Burger -

Seth Agranov is a burger guru with a big vision.

He’s lived in Memphis since 1994 and up until a year or so ago, thought that Huey’s was the only solution to his hankerings. But upon being introduced to the griddle-fried, grass-fed beef burger at Three Angels Diner, that mindset quickly changed.

7. Airwaves Charity -

Members of the media joined the children of Ronald McDonald House of Memphis Wednesday, Aug. 15, for an outdoors tricycle race on the nonprofit’s campus at 535 Alabama Ave.

8. Bryant Joins RedRover -

Sarah Bryant has joined RedRover Sales & Marketing as a marketing account executive. She previously worked for the Atlanta Falcons.

9. Out of Bounds -

The August report from the NCAA calls him “student-athlete 1.” Everyone but the NCAA and the University of Memphis calls him Derrick Rose.

10. Pitts Receives Compliance Expert Certification -

Dallas Pitts, compliance officer at FAA Federal Credit Union, has received Cuna's Credit Union Compliance Expert certification.

The certification covers all federal regulations for credit unions, as well as giving an overview of state regulations.
Pitts has worked for FAA FCU for more than 11 years, holding positions as a teller, member services representative and compliance officer.
