WEST MEMPHIS (AP) — Congressman John Boozman said during a stop in West Memphis he believes he is "awful close" to being able to win the Republican U.S. Senate nomination outright.
Boozman spent Monday flying around Arkansas trying to build support for his Senate bid in Tuesday's election. Most polls show Boozman leading among the eight Republicans seeking the Senate seat, but it is possible he could face a runoff with state Sen. Gilbert Baker or former state Sen. Jim Holt.
