In dealing with people, he admits to being "pretty blunt" - more suited to running a large private equity firm, which Bruce Rauner did successfully for 30 years, than seeking votes for governor, which he intends to do in Illinois next year.

Trip Peeples has been promoted to administrator for Methodist Alliance Health Services' Home Medical Equipment and Infusion division.

Peeples has been with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare for seven years, most recently serving as corporate director of finance and reimbursement and interim chief financial officer for Methodist Extended Care Hospital.

5. Rainey Chosen as President-Elect Of TN Women's Council of Realtors -

Crye-Leike Realtors broker Patty Rainey has been chosen as president-elect of the Tennessee Women's Council of Realtors.

Rainey is a member of the Memphis Area, Northwest Mississippi, Tennessee and National Associations of Realtors. She is in the Multi-Million Dollar Club and MAARket Master Toastmasters, and in 2006, she served as the president of the local Certified Residential Specialists chapter.

6. State Dems Seek Replacements For Absent Lawmakers -

NASHVILLE (AP) - Senate Democrats stung by a string of prolonged absences by ill caucus members are proposing a way to temporarily replace lawmakers unable to serve.

Senate Democratic Leader Jim Kyle's proposal would pave the way for a temporary handoff of power for the likes of Sen. Ophelia Ford, D-Memphis, who missed much of last session and is likely to be absent for several weeks of the current one with an unspecified illness.
