Project: Motion, Memphis’ modern dance collective, concludes its 25th anniversary season in May with dance works set around the many varied themes of “green.”

2. Dancers Converge for Annual AXIS -

Project: Motion Modern Dance Collective will continue its relatively new tradition of importing guest artists of contrasting styles in this year’s continuation of the annual AXIS series.

The three performances Feb. 18-20 will be the first AXIS concert in the group’s new home of Evergreen Theater, formerly Circuit Playhouse, 1705 Poplar Ave.

3. National Artists Featured at Annual Concert -

Dance artists from the Northeast and the West Coast will join forces in Memphis in Project: Motion’s third annual concert of featured guests’ works.

“AXIS: Forging New Connections in Contemporary Dance” is scheduled for Friday through Feb. 28 at TheatreWorks at Overton Square, featuring choreography and performances by Juliet Waller Pruzan and Stephen Hando of Pennsylvania, and Ursula Payne of Seattle.
