1. Sherman Joins Campbell Clinic as Sports Medicine Physician -

Dr. Henry “Hank” Sherman has joined Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics as a sports medicine family practice physician in its Southaven office. Sherman treats patients who suffer from a variety of orthopedic injuries – from competitive athletes looking to get back in the game to weekend warriors who want to stay active later in life.

2. 'Wicked' Return -

The Broadway smash “Wicked” has packed the house at the Orpheum Theatre Memphis each time the musical has enjoyed a run here, with fans of the whimsical story about the witches from Oz ensuring the production is well attended.

The Memphis Lawyers’ chapter of the Federalist Society will meet Friday, Oct. 18, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Madison Hotel, 79 Madison Ave. U.S. District Judge John T. Fowlkes Jr. will moderate a debate about the constitutional amendment to change Tennessee’s judicial selection method. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. 4. Wharton to Serve as Fellow of Urban Land Institute -

Memphis Mayor A C Wharton, Jr. is one of four mayors selected to serve as an Urban Land Institute fellow.

Wharton joins the mayors of Honolulu, Indianapolis, Ind., and Portland, Ore., as 2013-2014 fellows for the ULI Daniel Rose Center for Public Leadership. The mayor of each city will lead a team of three fellows and a coordinator. Each team will select a local land use challenge for which they will receive technical assistance from faculty experts assembled by ULI and from their peers in the other three fellowship cities.

5. Henry Named Sales Manager at Mercedes-Benz of Collierville -

Edgar L. Henry II has been named sales manager for Mercedes-Benz of Collierville, scheduled to open next spring. In his new role, Henry will manage the sales of all new and pre-owned cars sold at the dealership.

7. Fink Joins Diamond Cos. as Senior Vice President -

Justin Fink has joined Diamond Cos., an International truck dealership holding company, as senior vice president, truck sales. In the new role, Fink oversees new and used truck sales, and helps develop programs and processes to grow customer relationships, sales and profits.

8. McBroom Joins Indie Memphis as Director of Operations -

Mandy McBroom has been named director of operations for Indie Memphis, the first full-time staff member to hold the position. In her new role, she will oversee festival operations, shorts programming, volunteer opportunities and membership growth.

The Memphis Area Association of Realtors Commercial Council honored the top performers in commercial real estate for 2011 at the 11th annual Pinnacle Awards gala, held Tuesday, April 24, at the Holiday Inn University of Memphis.

Sarah Logan has joined the American Heart Association as director of the Heart Ball.

Dorothy’s famous line from “The Wizard of Oz” might be “There’s no place like home.” But in “Wicked,” the smash Broadway musical that turns perceptions of Oz and its inhabitants upside-down, that phrase is mouthed by the Wicked Witch of the West.
