The Shops at Saddle Creek has picked up a new tenant as the lifestyle center undergoes a renovation.
Marmi Shoes has leased 1,395 square feet between Vera Bradley and Madewell at Saddle Creek. St. Louis-based Marmi Shoes offers a wide variety of women’s shoe styles and sizes with a European influence. The Saddle Creek location, the first in the Memphis area and the second in Tennessee, is expected to open in the fall.

Ware Properties LLC purchased 9,100 square feet of vacant land at 3433 Jackson Ave. from Hector Tejeda in May for $140,000, according to the Shelby County Register of Deeds. The Shelby County Assessor of Property’s 2011 appraisal of the parcel was $109,200.

Simon Property Group Inc. has selected Grubb & Ellis Memphis as the leasing agent for Oak Court Drive, a 136,000-square-foot Class A office building on Poplar Avenue in East Memphis.
Grubb & Ellis president Joe Steffner and vice president Greg deWitt will handle the leasing for the property, which sits next to Oak Court Mall and currently has up to 13,000 square feet of contiguous space with smaller suites available for other prospective tenants.
