1. Race for the Cure Ready at New Home -

Participants in Saturday’s Komen Memphis-MidSouth Race for the Cure will see some significant changes this year.

One of them will be a change of scenery. After 20 years at The Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown, the race is moving to Carriage Crossing in Collierville.

Starting this October, the Memphis-Mid-South Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will be held at the Carriage Crossing lifestyle center in Collierville.

5. Komen Affiliate Awards 10 Grants -

The Memphis/Mid-South Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has awarded 10 grants totaling $723,925 to programs providing breast cancer services in the Mid-South.

Baptist Memorial Hospital has been awarded $188,000 for the Filling the Gap – Mammography for Underserved Women Program, for screening mammograms to underserved women on a digitally equipped mobile unit as well as diagnostic procedures as needed at the Women’s Health Center.
