5. Northwest Airlines CEO Steenland Will Have 8 Million Reasons to Go, Come June -

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Northwest Airlines CEO Doug Steenland will have about eight million reasons to bail out of the struggling carrier this June.

His contract - signed the day Northwest entered bankruptcy more than two years ago - gives him an unusual one-month window to leave voluntarily and collect a special payment of at least $7.8 million. Steenland could get the same windfall if he leaves after a merger, but it's far from certain the carrier's talks with Delta Air Lines Inc. will lead to one.

Nursing professor Diana Baker has been named Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp.'s new coordinator for nursing research. Baker is the first person to hold the position. She has been in nursing for more than 40 years and most recently served on the faculty of the Baptist College of Health Sciences.

7. Chinese Parents Regain Final Custody of Anna Mae He -

MEMPHIS (AP) - A Chinese couple regained custody of their 8-year-old daughter Monday after a seven-year fight to get her back from what was supposed to be temporary foster care.

Judge Curtis Person of Memphis Juvenile Court signed an order returning legal custody of Anna Mae He to parents Shaoqiang “Jack” and Qin Luo “Casey” He, Chinese citizens who came to the United States so Shaoqiang He could attend college.

MEMPHIS (AP) -- An American couple struggling to hold on to an 8-year-old girl they have raised since infancy are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to stop a state-ordered reunion with her Chinese parents.
