David Prather, an attorney in the Memphis office of Ford & Harrison LLP, has been named partner.

Eleven attorneys from Martin Tate Morrow & Marston PC have been selected as 2009 Super Lawyers and 2009 Mid-South Rising Stars by Law & Politics.

10. Stephens Named Executive Director Of Exceptional Foundation of West Tenn. -

Jeni Stephens has been named the executive director of the Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee.

Stephens was appointed following a national search conducted by the EFWT.

She joins the EFWT with a 14-year background in nonprofit administration. She most recently served as deputy director of development for the Pink Palace Family of Museums. She also has served as director of marketing and development for the Memphis Bioworks Foundation and the Memphis Academy of Science in Engineering.

11. Baker Donelson’s Williams Appointed To Volunteer Leadership Role at ILTA -

Merideth L. Williams has been appointed to the volunteer leadership role of conference vice president in the International Legal Technology Association. She will work with other volunteers in the delivery of educational programming to members of ILTA.

12. Former Dept. of Labor Adviser Returns to Private Practice in Memphis -

David A. Prather, senior counsel at Ford & Harrison LLP, has returned to private practice after being appointed in March by the Bush administration to serve as senior policy adviser for the Wage and Hour Division of the U.S. Department of Labor. Prather was appointed to fill the position through the end of President George W. Bush’s second term. Prather served as the second-highest ranking political appointee within the division.

13. Srinivasan Joins UT Medical Group -

Dr. Saumini Srinivasan has joined the University of Tennessee Medical Group as a pediatric pulmonologist with a special interest in exercise stress testing.

Srinivasan is on the medical staff at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center and also teaches at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and sub-board for Pediatric Pulmonology.

14. Mathews Named to New Post at FedEx Institute -

Eric Mathews was named associate director of corporate research and development at the University of Memphis FedEx Institute of Technology. Mathews previously served FIT in temporary roles directing research and business development and was part of the institute's founding executive management. He earned a bachelor's degree from Rhodes College and a master's degree from the University of Memphis.
