2. Amazon, Postal Service Will Deliver on Sundays -

Amazon is teaming up with the U.S. Postal Service to deliver packages on Sundays.

The Seattle company says Sunday delivery will be available this week to customers in the New York and Los Angeles metropolitan areas. Amazon and the Postal Service plan to roll out service to "a large portion of the U.S. population" next year, including Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Phoenix.

3. Builders Showcase -

The Vesta Home Show kicked off over the weekend, with large crowds turning out to explore six new homes in a gated Germantown community.

Don Glays, executive director of the West Tennessee Home Builders Association, said attendance during the opening weekend of the show was strong.

7. Amazon.com Moving Ahead With Centers in SE Tenn -

CHATTANOOGA (AP) – Amazon.com has finalized its commitment to build new distribution centers that will create up to 1,400 jobs in Chattanooga and neighboring Bradley County.

8. Airlines Could Stay on Own, Seek Another Carrier if Deal Falls Apart -

ATLANTA (AP) - Not too long ago, Delta Air Lines Inc. and Northwest Airlines Corp. seemed all but certain to announce a combination soon.

That still could happen in the next few days, but an impasse over seniority involving the pilots unions has jeopardized a deal, raising the question of what happens if Delta or Northwest walks away.

The Sales and Marketing Society of the Mid-South will hold its monthly luncheon today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Select at Poplar Avenue and Interstate 240. David Yawn, assistant publisher and executive editor for The Daily News, will present "Better Prospecting through Localized Data Mining."
