4. Stallworth Named Board President At Association of Fundraising Professionals -

Virginia Stallworth is the new president of the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Stallworth has served on the board since 2005. She is the associate director at the Memphis Child Advocacy Center, where she has worked for nine years. Stallworth also serves on the board of directors for the Memphis Area Women's Council.

5. Dr. Lendel Joins Memphis Heart Clinic -

Dr. Vasili Lendel has joined Memphis Heart Clinic. Lendel is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. A native of Siberia, Lendel received the Russian Government Award for Academic Excellence. He did his cardiology fellowship at Penn State's medical center in Hershey, Penn., where he received the Chief Cardiology Fellow award.

6. Hampton Hotels Names Smith Senior Director of Product Service -

Kurt Smith has been named senior director of product service and development at Hampton Hotels. Previously, Smith served Hampton as director of global brand integration. Prior to that position, he was the director of hotel performance support.

8. Mayor Herenton's Executive Assistant Moves to MLGW -

Gale Jones Carson has been named director of corporate communications for Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division. In her new executive-level position, she will report directly to MLGW president and CEO Joseph Lee III. She previously was executive assistant to Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton.

9. Joyner Joins Germantown M&F Bank -

Todd C. Joyner has joined M&F Bank in Germantown as vice president/mortgage loan originator. In his new position, Joyner will be the regional production officer of North Mississippi and Tennessee. He is a member of the Memphis Mortgage Bankers Association, Memphis Homebuilders Association and the Germantown Chamber of Commerce.
