Two longtime members of Colliers International's Memphis office have taken a majority stake in the real estate company.

Andy Cates, executive vice president of brokerage, and Brad Kornegay, CEO of Colliers Management Services LLC, are now the majority shareholders in the two legal entities that make up the Memphis office.

Legacy Wealth Management has added a few professionals to its ranks.

Brent Westbrook has joined Legacy as managing director of business development and client service. Westbrook came to Legacy from Argent Financial Group and introduces Legacy’s services to individuals, families and business-sponsored retirement plans.

Andy Wright has joined Memphis-based Magna Bank as senior vice president and manager of commercial banking. Wright, who previously held senior vice president positions at Iberiabank and First Tennessee Bank, has experience working with a variety of industries, with in-depth expertise in the transportation and logistics industries.

8. Software Industry Braces for New Phone Apps Rules -

WASHINGTON (AP) – A cellphone game for kids about U.S. geography, "Stack the States," gets rave reviews from parents. Its creator, Dan Russell-Pinson, considered making the 99-cent app better by adding a feature to allow children to play online against one another. But with the Federal Trade Commission issuing more stringent online child privacy rules, he's not even pursuing the idea.

10. Sunset Atop the Madison Starts Thursday -

The Madison Hotel is kicking off a new season of Sunset Atop the Madison Thursday, April 12.

First up is Elmo & the Shades from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Weather permitting, Sunset will continue every Thursday night through the end of August.

Thursday night is party night in Memphis, at least from mid-April until the end of August on the rooftop of the Madison Hotel.

Sunset atop the Madison Hotel Concert Series is a cooperative effort between the Madison Hotel, Resource Entertainment Group and local entertainment. The music ranges from jazz to blues to rockabilly to oldies.

13. Colliers to Rebrand Following Joint Venture -

One of the oldest and most respected commercial and industrial real estate firms in town will see a name change this summer.

Colliers Wilkinson Snowden, the brokerage services company founded in 1946 by Bob Snowden and Russell Wilkinson, within the next two months will be known simply as Colliers International.
