Andrew Holliday and Daniel Brown, the founding partners of Memphis-based branding and marketing firm Harvest Creative, used to joke about one day making the Inc. 500|5000, the list published each year by Inc. Magazine that honors the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

2. Business Honors -

Thirteen Memphis-based companies can officially claim to be among the fastest-growing in the U.S.

That’s according to Inc. Magazine, which put them on its annual Inc. 500|5000 list, an exclusive ranking the magazine published a few days ago that honors the fastest-growing companies by measuring their percentage growth in revenue over a three-year period.

3. Celebration of Creativity -

The gold-plated columns and crystal chandeliers of The Cadre Building were right in line with the American Advertising Federation Memphis’ 2012 ADDY Awards ceremony, themed “Hustle + Workflow.”

All “pimps, players and winners” that produced the best in local advertising and all of the disciplines associated with it were recognized Saturday, Feb. 25, in the historic Downtown building at 149 Monroe Ave., with the tagline, “Damn, it feels good to be a winner.”

4. ADDY Awards Highlight Ad Industry's Top Work -

The gold-plated columns and crystal chandeliers of The Cadre Building were right in line with the American Advertising Federation Memphis’ 2012 ADDY Awards ceremony, themed “Hustle + Workflow.”

5. Harvest Creative Puts Muscle Into ADDY Prep -

The biggest event of the year for the advertising industry is fast approaching, and local agency Harvest Creative is responsible for the theme, “Hustle + Workflow.”

On Saturday, Feb. 25, the American Advertising Federation Memphis will hold its ADDY Awards ceremony at The Cadre Building, 149 Monroe Ave.

The Center City Revenue Finance Corp. Board of Directors will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the CCC conference room, 114 N. Main St.

Methodist South Hospital will open its Farmers Market Monday at with a consecration service at 1 p.m. in front of the Medical Office Complex, 1251 Wesley Drive. The Farmers Market will open every Monday through Oct. 10 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is open to the public. For more information, call 516-3580.

8. ADDY Awards Honor City’s Best Work -

The local advertising industry’s creativity this past year has put a new meaning to the phrase “think outside the box.”

The American Advertising Federation Memphis presented 54 gold and 69 silver awards out of 500 paid entries at Saturday’s ADDY Awards at Minglewood Hall, 1555 Madison Ave.

9. New Cooper-Young 'Biz Director Puts Neighborhood's Character to Use -

It's a new job, but also a homecoming of sorts.

When Lyn Patrick Myers signed on as the director of the Cooper-Young Business Association (CYBA) at the end of March, the job brought her back to the eclectic Memphis neighborhood close to where she grew up.

The two-man advertising and design firm that opened in the Cooper-Young area earlier this year is - as its name might suggest - enjoying a bumper crop of new clients and reaping a harvest of steady business growth.
