1. Wilbourn Turns Self In To Marshals -

Memphis Police officer Sean Bolton apparently saw a car parked illegally Saturday night near South Perkins and Cottonwood roads and interrupted a minor drug deal in the car, leading to a fight with a passenger in the car who shot Bolton to death.

2. Beer Revived -

Revive the beer garden, and they will come. If the soft opening held on Tuesday night, April 7, was any indication, then Tennessee Brewery: The Revival will have a nice run this spring.

3. A Small-Business Star to be Born This Super Bowl -

NEW YORK (AP) – A small-business star will be born during a commercial break in Super Bowl XLVIII.

A company yet to be selected will have its own 30-second ad during the game, giving it the kind of exposure usually reserved for mega-brands like Budweiser and Chevrolet. The spot will be the culmination of a competition sponsored by software maker Intuit Inc., which has never run a Super Bowl commercial of its own, but is paying for one small business to be in the spotlight during the third quarter of the Big Game.

4. Electrolux Construction Reaches Milestone -

Construction on the Electrolux North America Cooking Products Memphis plant reached a milestone this week as workers put the company logo and name on the headquarters building in the Frank C. Pidgeon Industrial Park.

5. Irving Leads Research Co. Animal Cell Therapies -

Adam M. Irving is chief executive officer of San Diego-based Animal Cell Therapies Inc., a company that develops stem cell treatments to treat a variety of ailments for animals. Irving is based in Memphis.
