The owner of the Estates at River Pointe apartment complex on Mud Island has taken out a $31.2 million loan on the property.

Knickerbocker Properties XXXIX, an affiliate of New York-based Sentinel Real Estate Corp., filed the multifamily deed of trust, assignment of leases and rents, security agreement and fixture filing Oct. 30 through Berkeley Point Capital LLC.

The 280-unit Brook Chase Apartments community in Germantown has been sold for $31.1 million.

Brook Chase Apartments Partnership LLC, an affiliate of Germantown-based Sentinel Real Estate Corp., sold the complex to G & I VIII Brook Chase LLC, an affiliate of New York City-based DRA Advisors LLC, according to an Oct. 3 special warranty deed. G & I VIII Brook Chase LLC also filed a $22.1 million loan with CBRE Capital

Brook Chase Apartments Partnership LLC, an affiliate of Germantown-based Sentinel Real Estate Corp., sold the complex to G & I VIII Brook Chase LLC, an affiliate of New York City-based DRA Advisors LLC, according to an Oct. 3 special warranty deed. G & I VIII Brook Chase LLC also filed a $22.1 million loan with CBRE Capital Markets Inc., according to an Oct. 3 multifamily deed of trust.

5. Belle Harbour Apartments Owner Files $17.1 Million Loan -

The owner of the 499-unit Belle Harbour Apartments on Mud Island Drive has filed a $17.1 million loan on the property.

Knickerbocker Properties XXXIX, an affiliate of New York-based Sentinel Real Estate Corp., filed the multifamily deed of trust, assignment of leases and rents, security agreement and fixture filing Feb. 26 through Berkeley Point Capital LLC.

WASHINGTON (AP) – Two election watchdog organizations on Thursday urged the Justice Department and Federal Election Commission to investigate more than $12 million in campaign contributions that were mysteriously funneled through two little-known companies in Tennessee to a prominent tea party group. The origin of the money, the largest anonymous political donations in a campaign year filled with them, remains a secret.

WASHINGTON (AP) – A lawyer in Tennessee who is mysteriously linked to millions of dollars in campaign contributions steered to congressional candidates doubled his investments in the weeks before Election Day and quietly funneled $6.8 million more to a prominent Tea Party group, according to new financial statements filed with the government.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Special rules in Tennessee campaign finance laws for limited liability companies are providing a boost for two Republican gubernatorial candidates.

Under state law, corporations are barred from making campaign contributions. But that ban does not extend to LLCs, as long as they are not created for the sole purpose of making a donation.

14. Tenn. Candidates Receive Hefty PAC Contributions -

Candidates for contested seats in the Tennessee General Assembly have received an average of $43,000 each from political action committees, a newspaper analysis found.

PACs have given more than $5 million to legislative candidates so far in the 2008 election cycle, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported for Monday’s editions. That total is likely to grow amid last-minute contributions before a blackout on PAC contributions takes effect on Thursday.

NEW YORK (AP) - The Federal Reserve swept into the market last week to offer a calming hand, but that's still no panacea for the fundamental problems Wall Street faces.

Big institutional investors from hedge funds to investment banks are still wrestling with credit problems spawned by distressed subprime mortgage loans. The housing market still looks gloomy. And the wave of takeovers that drove stocks to new highs this year has dropped off considerably.
