2. UTHSC, UT Medical Group Form Dermatopathology Lab -

A recently launched joint venture between the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and UT Medical Group will bring an academic touch to the diagnosis of skin diseases.

UT DermPath, a new dermatopathology lab that opened Jan. 1, will give dermatology residents hands-on experience while assisting private clinicians.

3. RedRover Names Thomson Account Manager -

Melissa Thomson has been promoted to account manager from account executive at RedRover Sales & Marketing. In her expanded role, Thomson serves as a fractional chief marketing officer for growing Mid-South companies by conducting critical market research then creating and executing marketing strategies.

4. ‘Washington Courtyard’ Sells For $900K -

A trio of office buildings at Washington Avenue and Danny Thomas Boulevard has traded hands for $900,000.

Investment group 301 WA LTD LLC of Arizona purchased the assets from Gregory Realty GP. Brian Califf of NAI Saig Co. represented the seller.

5. BBB of Mid-South Elects Officers, Directors -

The Better Business Bureau of the Mid-South has elected officers and new directors for 2011-2012.

Randall D. Lewis of FedEx Corp. has been elected chairman of the board.

6. Evolve Systems Grows Memphis Location -

Evolve Digital Media has more than doubled its Memphis location at Apple Tree Center in Hickory Hill.

The Memphis-based company expanded its lease from 2,520 to 6,327 square feet at 6073 Mount Moriah Road Extended. Tyler Tapley, associate with CB Richard Ellis Memphis, represented the landlord, Apple Tree Center Partnership.

7. Levitt Shell Adds Development Director -

Debra Czestochowski has joined Levitt Shell as the organization’s first development director.

The irresistible opportunity to join those who have regenerated a Memphis treasure in order to build community and diversity through free music and education.
What do you consider your greatest professional accomplishments?
Reaching fundraising goals is deeply satisfying, but it is most significant to me to achieve those goals via servant leadership, which focuses on facilitating the progress of others. I thank Leadership Memphis for acquainting me with the literature in this field.
What do you most enjoy about your work?
I enjoy the creativity and commitment of those around me – staff, board and volunteers. I enjoy the expressions on the faces of those who gather for each concert. I enjoy seeing families together, children dancing and musicians absorbing the energy of the experience as they perform. An evening at the Levitt Shell is joyful. It is what this world should be.
