A Union County, Tenn., forklift business has sold a Raleigh warehouse building for $700,000.

Union City Forklift Inc. sold the property at 2188 Spicer Cove in Memphis to Dpdd LLC, according to an April 6 warranty deed. Jim Mason, president of Union City Forklift Inc., signed the warranty deed.

AIS Hospitality Inc. has acquired a Sleep Inn hotel for $1.5 million.

AIS Hospitality acquired the 70-room hotel at 2855 Old Austin Peay Highway in Memphis from Anavil LLC, according to a March 16 warranty deed. The purchase price breaks down to $21,428 per room.

A businessman has acquired a gas station and convenience store on Airways Boulevard for $475,000.

Moafk M. Alsid bought the convenience store at 4131 Airways Blvd. from Beruk Properties Inc., according to a March 13 warranty deed.

22. Assessor Allegations Dismissed as ‘Baseless’ -

An anonymous ethics complaint against Shelby County Assessor Cheyenne Johnson in January included lots of documents and lots of allegations.

But whoever filed the complaint with the county’s ethics officer missed a crucial detail in making the allegation that Johnson supposedly forged her son’s name on documents for properties owned by Faith Investment Group LLC.

23. Apple Plans to Sell as Much as $6.5 Billion in Bonds -

NEW YORK (AP) – Apple is planning another large bond sale at a time when investors are paying near record premiums for high-quality bonds.

The technology giant will sell a combination of bonds with maturities ranging from five years to 30 years, according to a filing with U.S. regulators. The company was originally trying to sell $5 billion in bonds, according to traders, but investor demand has been strong and Apple's offering might go as high as $6.5 billion.

Realty Income Properties 5 LLC, an affiliate of California-based Realty Income Corp., bought the Walgreens store at 8097 U.S. 70 in Bartlett from Cole WG Bartlett TN DST, according to a Jan. 5 warranty deed. Realty Income Corp. acquires and manages freestanding, single-tenant properties leased to retail chains.

An entity named MD 695 Poplar LLC purchased the neighborhood shopping center at 695 W. Poplar in a Dec. 4 warranty deed from JW-Collierville LLC, PC-Collierville LLC, DB-Collierville LLC and SG-Collierville LLC, which collectively had owned it since 2008.

CGL Investments LLC sold two parcels of vacant land to Innovative Investments LLC. The address given on the Nov. 18 warranty deed was 484 Winchester Road, located on the northeast corner of Winchester and Byhalia.

Two Collierville daycare centers have sold for a combined $4.4 million.

SDK Properties LLC sold the center at 105 Crescent Drive to Store Master Funding VII LLC for $2.5 million and the center at 1649 S. Shea Road to the same entity for $1.8 million, according to warranty deeds filed Nov. 14. The buyer, Store Master Funding VII LLC, is an affiliate of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based real estate investment trust STORE Capital. The centers operate as Kid Tech #1 and Kid Tech #2.

Two Collierville daycare centers have sold for a combined $4.4 million.

SDK Properties LLC sold the center at 105 Crescent Drive to Store Master Funding VII LLC for $2.5 million and the center at 1649 S. Shea Road to the same entity for $1.8 million, according to warranty deeds filed Nov. 14. The buyer, Store Master Funding VII LLC, is an affiliate of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based real estate investment trust STORE Capital. The centers operate as Kid Tech #1 and Kid Tech #2.

LifeStorage, through an entity operating as SSTN 651 S. Rowlett Street LLC, acquired the 62,170-square-foot facility at 651 S. Rowlett St. from LottaStorage LLC, according to an Oct. 6 special warranty deed. The Shelby County Assessor of Property’s 2014 appraisal is $2.2 million.

A California-based owner and operator of self-storage facilities has purchased a Collierville storage facility for $3.9 million.

Four office condos in the First Federal Place Condominiums on New Byhalia Road in Collierville have sold for $900,000.

Kia Investments LLC of Germantown bought the condos in a July 18 special warranty deed from BancorpSouth Bank, which foreclosed on the properties in May after the previous owner, L.T. Inc., defaulted on a $1 million loan dated January 2002.

Four tenants in common have paid $6.2 million for the Market of Riverdale Bend shopping center on Winchester Road in Southeast Memphis.

The four buyers, shown in descending order of ownership percentage, are Peter Laspina Jr. (49.5 percent); 25-19 34th St. Realty Corp. (34.83 percent); Riverdale Center Investors LLC (14.67 percent); and Riverdale Market LLC (1 percent).

Westside Mobile Home Park at 8393 U.S. 51 N. in Millington has sold for $3.3 million. Jason W. Hutchison and Angela B. Hutchison, doing business as Trio Properties, purchased the 36.3-acre site in a July 1 warranty deed from Forbess Properties, a partnership between Robert A. Forbess and Michael E. Forbess.

91. Internet Sales Tax Bill Faces Tough Sell in House -

WASHINGTON (AP) – Traditional retailers and cash-strapped states face a tough sell in the House as they lobby Congress to limit tax-free shopping on the Internet.

The Senate voted 69 to 27 Monday to pass a bill that empowers states to collect sales taxes from Internet purchases. Under the bill, states could require out-of-state retailers to collect sales taxes when they sell products over the Internet, in catalogs, and through radio and TV ads. The sales taxes would be sent to the states where a shopper lives.
