Bank of Bartlett has shelled out more than a million dollars to buy back Germantown property that was in foreclosure, according to a document filed with the Shelby County Register of Deeds.
The original debtor is Ken Sledd Co. Inc., which took out a $1.4 million loan through Bank of Bartlett in 2005. The bank bought the property at a foreclosure sale for $1.1 million.

Johnson accepted the honor at the organization's January chapter meeting. PRSA presents the award annually to a respected member of the community who invests time or talent in communicating a specific message to public audiences. Johnson replaced superintendent Johnnie Watson after his retirement in 2003. She had served as superintendent of Minneapolis Public Schools since 1997.
