3. LEDIC Management Group Opens Phoenix Office -

Memphis-based LEDIC Management Group, an affiliate of Hunt Cos. Inc., has secured seven new multifamily management contracts in Arizona totaling 1,213 units.

4. Stores Find Success by Focusing on the Hunt -

Trader Joe's, the specialty grocery chain, might not have the cheapest toilet paper or the most varieties of ketchup, but it hooks customers with mango butter, chocolate-covered pomegranate seeds and cilantro-and-jalapeno hummus.

5. LEDIC Secures Contracts for 32 Texas Sites -

LEDIC Management Group, an affiliate of Hunt Cos. Inc., has secured 32 new multifamily management contracts in Texas and new regional offices in El Paso, Houston and Dallas. The strategic expansion brings LEDIC’s total multifamily units under management in Texas to 4,017.

An El Paso, Texas-based investment firm has bought a “significant stake” in LEDIC Management Group LLC, a move that will enable the Memphis-based third party investment real estate firm to expand its national footprint, implement new technology, and hire additional employees.

9. TJX to Close A.J. Wright Brand, Cut 4,400 Jobs -

NEW YORK (AP) — TJX Cos. says it is shuttering its A.J. Wright discount stores by mid-February, cutting 4,400 jobs and converting some stores to other brands such as T.J. Maxx.

Ninety-one stores will be converted into T.J. Maxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods stores, and 71 will close entirely, along with two distribution centers. About 3,400 staffers will remain employed at the converted stores.
