A large apartment community on Mud Island has sold for $43.6 million. Riverset, a 500-unit apartment community constructed in 1988 and 1990, sold on May 31 for $43.6 million, or $87,200 per unit.

4. Foreclosure Notice Filed for University Cabana -

University Cabana Apartments in North Memphis might be headed for a foreclosure auction. An affiliate of Miami-based loan servicer LNR Partners LLC has run a first-run foreclosure notice for the apartment complex at 2059 Vollintine Ave., owned by University Apartment Associates LLC.

7. Company Files Loan on Riverset Apartments -

Auction Street Associates LP has filed a $24.7 million loan through Oak Grove Commercial Mortgage on the Riverset Apartments on Mud Island.

A Survivor Art Show will open today from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in conjunction with an open house at the new office of Carol Risher at Primacy Oaks Office Park, 5158 Stage Road, Suite 130. The art is created as part of the psychological healing and recovery of counseling clients. Risher is a licensed professional counselor specializing in trauma resolution. 12. Downtown High-Rise Up for Grabs Soon at Roebuck Auction -

A 96-year-old Downtown building that has housed everything from furniture to military recruitment offices will have a shot at revitalization starting at noon June 22.

That's when the 12-story, 134,124-square-foot Tenoke Building will be auctioned off at Roebuck Auction Center at 4932 Park Ave.

13. New Boutique Hotels Piggyback on Condo Craze -

Memphis rarely is described as a chic city, but upscale hotel projects in Midtown and Harbor Town could work toward changing that.

The 28-room River Inn of Harbor Town is being built at 50 and 51 Harbor Town Square for around $9.3 million, and the America's Best Inn & Suites at 1837 Union Ave. is being renovated to become The Artisan Hotel, Memphis, for around $1.5 million. Together, these projects will bring two boutique hotels to the Bluff City. Boutique hotels tend to be smaller, but offer amenities similar to larger facilities.
