Five months into the city's new Storm Water Enterprise Fund, the new fees are bringing in about $1 million each month, said Jerry Collins, director of public works for Memphis.
The fees became effective May 1, and show up as an extra charge on the Memphis Light, Gas & Water Division bills of both residential and commercial property owners. The tournament begins with breakfast and registration at 8 a.m. followed by a golf clinic at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the law school.
