Lightman will build stores for Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores and Dollar Tree Stores Inc., with construction beginning in the next two weeks and finishing later in the year, said Michael Lightman Jr. Those two retailers will join JCPenney and Dick’s Sporting Goods; construction already has begun on those stores.
Lightman said the shopping center has room for more tenants, but he will wait for users and build stores to suit. He is targeting additional retail shops for the remaining space, looking for holes in the busy 385/Winchester/Hacks Cross area. “We’re trying to meet all needs,” he said. “It’s going to be very nice.”
Lightman said Centennial Commons’ first openings should occur in October. “JCPenney will be open sooner, but they’re a little bit ahead of everybody else,” Lightman said.
