A storm packing winds that gusted to 50 miles an hour Monday, July 14, knocked out power to more than 30,000 people Monday evening.
The Shelby County Office of Preparedness tracked damage reports after the storm moved into the Memphis area at around 4:30 p.m. Damage reports include a tree falling on a home in the 8300 block of Burning Tree Lane and a tree blocking the intersection of Carrington near Haynes in the Orange Mound area. No one was injured in either incident.

Shelby County foreclosures increased slightly in the second quarter (April through June) compared to Q2 2009 but declined from the first quarter of 2010.
