1. Precious Cargo -

In November, a trailer full of new, pre-released LeBron James shoes made by Nike was stolen in the Memphis area.

But thanks to a local task force dedicated to stopping cargo theft, the Oregon-based sports apparel giant, which operates a massive distribution center in Frayser, was able to recover nearly all of the shoes, which were valued at around $700,000.

7. FBI Promotes McCall to Special Agent in Charge -

A. Todd McCall has been named special agent in charge of the FBI’s Memphis division, one of the bureau’s 56 field offices nationwide. McCall, who most recently served as chief of the digital forensics and analysis section in the Operational Technology Division, is now responsible for the management and oversight of more than 200 personnel and all investigative matters under the FBI’s jurisdiction spanning from Memphis to Cookeville, Tenn.

8. McCall Named to Memphis FBI Position -

Todd McCall is the new assistant special agent in charge of the Memphis division of the FBI.

McCall comes to Memphis from five years as senior supervisory resident agent in the Jackson, Tenn., office of the Memphis division.

9. U of M Moot Court Team Earns Spot in National Finals -

H. McCall Wilson Jr., president and CEO of The Bank of Fayette County, recently attended a meeting of the American Bankers Association's Community Bankers Council in Washington, D.C. Wilson represents Tennessee's community banks on the council.
