Memphis Zoo hosts the final night of SunTrust Zoo Lights Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the zoo, 2000 Prentiss Place. 6. Macy's CEO Testifies in Fight Over Martha Stewart -

NEW YORK (AP) – Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren testified on Monday that he hung up on home diva Martha Stewart after she called to inform him on Dec. 6, 2011 that the company that bears her name had inked a deal with J.C. Penney to open shops within most of the chain's stores.

7. Numerous Issues Drive Early Voting -

Republicans have the suburban ballot questions on municipal school districts. Democrats have outrage over the voter photo ID state law.

Together the two factors could have more to do with voter turnout in the Aug. 2 elections than any of the candidates on the ballot.

8. Concert Pays Homage to King -

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra has made a point of playing with hip, up-and-coming, contemporary artists, but old favorites are still on the program as well.

This year’s annual tribute concert “The Elvis Birthday Pops Concert” will celebrate the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll with some hit songs, even more lesser known songs and a noticeable lack of pork chop sideburns.

9. Littleton Promoted to Manager of Private Banking at Paragon -

Wayne Littleton has been promoted to manager of private banking at Paragon National Bank. He also will continue to serve as president of the bank’s Saddle Creek branch, 7600 Poplar Ave.

The Memphis Symphony Orchestra will join with Terry Mike Jeffrey and the TCB Band Saturday at 8 p.m. at The Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, 255 N. Main St. The performance is in honor of Elvis Presley's birthday. 17. MATCU Banks on Judy Conrad as VP of Lending -

Judy Conrad has been named vice president of lending at Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union (MATCU). Conrad previously served as vice president and manager of BankTennessee in Ripley. She has worked in the financial industry for almost 40 years.

18. Med Nurse Earns State Leadership Award -

The Tennessee Nurses Association recognized Dr. Diane Todd Pace with the Alma E. Gault Leadership Award. Pace is a nurse practitioner/nurse scientist with the Regional Medical Center at Memphis/Health Loop Clinics. She earned a doctorate from the University of Tennessee.
