Franklin Childress Jr., litigation (bankruptcy); Leo Bearman Jr., litigation (general commercial); Buckner Wellford, litigation (medical malpractice); and Mary L. Aronov and Robert C. Liddon Jr., real estate.
In addition, Chambers USA will recognize the firm’s health law practice as a leading national practice and seven of the firm’s practice areas will be named as leading practice areas in Tennessee: banking and finance, corporate/mergers and acquisitions, environment, health care, labor and employment, litigation (general commercial) and real estate.
In total, 66 Baker Donelson attorneys will be recognized in Chambers USA, including 23 of the firm’s Tennessee attorneys.

Why did you pursue a career in real estate? I think I received my dad’s “love of the land.” I also love working with people. The creative side of land development as well as the “deal” side of helping buyers and sellers on transactions is a good fit for me.
What have been your most rewarding professional accomplishments? Being able to work in a wide variety of land deals, ranging from subdivision development to buying and selling of farm and hunting land. Along with that, helping people realize their goals in those areas.

The Quality Inn motel at 6068 Macon Cove near Bartlett sold July 31 for $1.4 million in a substitute trustee’s deed. Multiple bidders attempted to buy the 129-room hotel, but A&P Hotel Funding LLC, a local entity related to a Dallas-based company, made the winning offer on the steps of the Shelby County Courthouse.
