Two prominent attorneys have been named partners of the Memphis office of Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP, the firm announced Wednesday.

Ellen Vergos and Lee Harkavy recently joined as partners, bringing the total number of attorneys in the East Memphis practice to 41.

In the past, promoting "smart growth" in Memphis might have seemed like a pipe dream to neighborhood groups, government leaders, developers and urban planners.
