Dr. Dan T. Meadows has been appointed to the Tennessee Board of Dentistry by Gov. Bill Haslam. Meadows, who has a private practice on Walnut Grove Road, will serve as the Rotating Dentist member through June 2016.

David Palmer has joined Cannon Wright Blount certified public accounting firm as director of assurance and accounting services. Palmer’s specialties include audit and profit-sharing plans in the nonprofit, health care, government and construction industries.

5. Christian Brothers U Taps New IT Dean -

Christian Brothers University has chosen a new dean of information and technology services.

David Palmer brings more than 20 years of strategic technology leadership and management experience to CBU. He has worked for global corporations including the Hilton hotel chain, and he’s managed budgets large and small in addition to global infrastructures, corporate IT acquisitions and complex contracts. He also has startup, consulting and prior university experience.

8. Christensen Named to Top Posts At Leading Medical Facilities -

Michael L. Christensen has been appointed the Stevens Professor in Pediatric Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy. Christensen also has assumed the directorship of the Pharmaceutical Department of Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, as well as the directorship of the Pediatric Clinical Research Unit at the Children's Foundation Research Center. He is a pediatric clinical pharmacist with expertise in clinical pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, pediatric therapeutics and pediatric clinical trials. The new Stevens professorship was established and funded by Mr. and Mrs. David Stevens.

9. MATCU Banks on Judy Conrad as VP of Lending -

Judy Conrad has been named vice president of lending at Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union (MATCU). Conrad previously served as vice president and manager of BankTennessee in Ripley. She has worked in the financial industry for almost 40 years.

10. Young & Perl Founder Moves to Baker Donelson -

Edward R. Young, nationally known labor and employment attorney and co-founder of Young & Perl PLC, has joined Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC's Memphis office as a shareholder. Colleagues William D. Levy and William P. Dougherty also have joined the firm.

11. Public Administrator Named for Probate Court -

The Shelby County Commission appointed Scott Peatross to the position of public administrator in Shelby County Probate Court. Peatross is a partner in the law firm of Bateman Gibson LLC. He graduated from Rhodes College and Tulane Law School.
