2. Owner: Titans to Meet With Manning Wednesday -

NASHVILLE (AP) – The Tennessee Titans will be meeting with Peyton Manning on Wednesday, according to owner Bud Adams.

Adams told WSMV-TV the Titans' contingent will fly out of Nashville on Wednesday and spend the day with Manning, a meeting delayed apparently by trouble getting a co-pilot for his private plane. Adams told the TV station he thinks Manning really is interested in the Titans' offer, and he expects a quick decision from the four-time MVP.

3. Wamp Announces Musical Headliners for Fundraisers -

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Republican gubernatorial candidate Zach Wamp is lining up a series of upcoming fundraisers hosted by country and Christian music stars.

The congressman from Chattanooga announced Wednesday that six events in March and April will feature Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, John Rich, T. G. Sheppard, Paul Overstreet, Larry Gatlin and the Oak Ridge Boys.

4. Huff Becomes Enrollment VP at University of Memphis -

Betty Huff has been named vice provost of enrollment services at the University of Memphis.

Huff previously served as acting dean and associate dean of students at the University of New Orleans, registrar at the University of Kentucky and vice chancellor for enrollment services and management at the University of California at Santa Barbara.

5. Legal 'Giant' Glankler Leaves Behind Legendary Legacy -

Attorney Frank J. Glankler Jr. was laid to rest Monday following a funeral service at Immaculate Conception Cathedral.

Glankler, a founding partner of Glankler Brown PLLC and a major figure in the city's legal community, died last Wednesday after a long illness. He was 81.

6. Mixed-Use Mirabella Could Be Catalyst for Growth -

Ted Sullivan, general manager of Gus's Fried Chicken at 310 S. Front St., couldn't see the future of the neighborhood surrounding his restaurant when Gus's opened almost five years ago.

"When we first went in here, we had no idea the Forum was going in. That has brought us enormous amounts of business," Sullivan said. "You add in all these new houses and then condos across the street and on both sides, and we're going to have so many people down here - and it can do nothing but help us out."
